- Held managerial, editorial, copyediting and marketing responsibilities.
- Editor of 4-6 page Arts and Culture section of Michigan Alumnus magazine, a quarterly 64-page alumni magazine with 107,000 circulation. Managed content, assigned and wrote stories, contracted freelancers.
- Wrote, researched, edited and fact-checked feature-length and shorter stories for all other departments of Michigan Alumnus and all alumni publications. Interviewed prominent alumni and wrote profiles.
- Copyedited all Alumni Association communications. Sharpened editing skills through weekly exercises.
- Contributed to development and management of www.umalumni.com.
- Managed content and production for four monthly e-newsletters (travel, recent grads, recruitment, career).
- Managed 2004 and 2005 issues of True Blue Travel, the AAUM's annual travel catalog detailing more than 40 trips. Also managed corresponding web site.
- Collaborated with internal marketing team to develop and manage marketing projects; worked with 40-member staff to assist specific Alumni Association departments; wrote and edited marketing copy.
- From July 2001—August 2003, editor-in-chief of TrueBlue regional newsletter published three times a year, circulation 87,000. Managed and directed contributing editors for True Blue. Managed TrueBlue budget. Assisted in transitioning print TrueBlue to electronic version.
